Wilanow Palace

King Jan III Sobieski bought the Milanów estate in 1677. He insisted on constructing a Baroque palace surrounded by gardens, a farm and a zoo; he also closely supervised the project. In the 18th century, the palace was the property of Izabela Lubomirska, who later handed it over to her daughter and her husband, Stanisław Kostka Potocki. It was on their initiative that parts of the palace were turned into a museum that opened to the public in 1805. Branicki family were the last owners of the palace before it became the property of the state after World War II; after thorough conservation work, it reopened to the public in 1962.

Today, Wilanow Palace is one Warsaw's top sights and a place of interest to anyone who wants to discover the royal history of the Polish capital. You can stroll around the park and visit the palace, showcasing countless artifacts and works of art collected over the years. In addition, Wilanów organizes museum lessons and workshops for children of all ages. A trip around Wilanów is an unforgettable journey in time!
